Embarrassing take on blues. Almost nothing else needed to be said.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the 2019-20 Blues pull a 2006-07 Hurricanes.

The Jets window is closed? I agree their defence has been decimated but a few trades could change that. They’ve got most of their core locked up for the next 5 years so I’m suspecting that youre wrong with that opinion but time will tell.

A few trades could fix that but they need to trade enough away to fix a dman on all three pairings. Won’t be cheap.

I also don't think the Blues are going to be a threat to win much of anything.

Closed or not, they're taking a step back. They've lost a player or two for basically nothing, and more reaching the end of their careers (Wheeler).

when you lose assets for nothing, you take a step back, even if you trade to fill that spot. Sure, you fill a hole by trading a forward for a dman, but that still means your offense is weaker than it was before.

Good read...but...

the terms 'Brad Marchand' and 'respect' do not even belong in the same language.

The Jets are closer to a contender than to a rebuilder. I would not trade an elite Laine for some late 1st round picks.

With Scheifele, Laine and Connor in the lineup - among others - they have a nice young core of players.

And morrissey.

But they werent overly successful with buff and trouba, without them i do t think they stand a shot.

When wheeler declines theyll have a lot if holes to fill.

I suddenly wish we could do getting on this site.

I'd take the Blues making the playoffs, and bet fairly high on it.

1,000? I would legit place that bet!

Ninth in the central? You don’t have to go to your grave on that one, they already buried you in game 7

The Blues have only missed the playoffs 9 times in their entire history. How does a defending champion with that kind of record, a nearly identical roster, and a major upgrade on defense miss the playoffs? Least talented... They had more points in the second half of the season than Tampa did. They finally win it and still don’t get any credit.

With the Jets finally giving their draft and develop d-men, Niku, Poolman, Heinola and Nogier a chance to play I would hold off on the trade talk unless they show by Xmas that they aren't NHL ready.
